By definition, "raison
d'etre" is the most important reason or purpose for
someone or something's existence. In the book, A New
Earth by Eckhart Tolle, the purpose for someone's
existence may be applied to simply who you are,
"Consciousness that has become conscious of itself." The
question one begins to ask through present awareness at
any stage, experience, level or continuing process of
life then becomes . . . exactly who am I, why am I here,
where am I going, and do I exist as part of my problem
as sustained by my ego, or the resonating conscious
solution? The response to these questions has no right
or wrong answers, only the appearance of that which we
place upon ourselves through years and layers of
unconscious conditioning and exhausted expectation.
The creation of "raison d'etre" for me, is a connective
link of artistic expression that furthers the
possibility of communication on another level and
dimension. Present consciousness through awareness,
builds that bridge of limitless possibilities. I am
taking this initial step aligning "the performing artist
as an instrument of expression, that partners with the
very essence of the soul."
I believe there exists an unspoken dialogue with the
audience and the artist. "Raison d'etre" affords me the
opportunity to share that present conscious
communication of being . . . as we continue on this
"journey of humility, discovery, gratitude and love." |
